High-Temperature Resistance Tests For Plastic bags

Steam Sterilization (Autoclave) Test

  • Temperature: 115–135°C (usually 121°C or 125°C)
  • Duration: 15–45 minutes, depending on product requirement
  • Purpose: Ensure the laminate withstands steam without delamination, bubbling, or leakage.

🔸 Hot-Fill Test

  • Filling temperature: 85–125°C
  • Test checks if bags maintain structure during hot filling and cooling.
  • Pressure & Seal Integrity Tests
  • 🔸 Burst Strength Test
  • Measures internal pressure required to rupture the pouch.
  • Ensures strong mechanical resistance of the laminate.
  • 🔸 Seal Strength Test
  • Evaluates the peeling strength of sealing seams.
  • Ensures consistent sealing across the pouch.
  • 🔸 Vacuum Leak Test / Water Bath Leak Test
  • Fill the pouch, apply vacuum pressure under water.
  • Purpose: Identify pinholes, improper sealing, or micro-leaks.
  • 3. Lamination Bond Strength Tests
  • Evaluates adhesive bonding between film layers.
  • Ensures no delamination during sterilization or retort processing.
